Jeff Mettais – Chief Executive Officer

As CEO and co-founder of CarbonSync, Jeff oversees strategic direction and management. Over the past 25 years, he has led projects and market development initiatives in the U.S. and several foreign countries, with 15 years living abroad.

Jeff has a proven track record of successfully moving innovative ideas and technologies into the marketplace. While Executive VP of The Baby Einstein Company, he directed a domestic distribution network and international licensing program that increased sales from $1 million to $25 million in less than three years, up through the Company's sale to The Walt Disney Company.

In Japan, Jeff co-founded and led Comtec Co. Ltd., a specialty Japanese media publisher and distribution company acquired by Disney Japan. He also served as Director of International Development for EFG, a Japanese non-profit foundation with operations in Japan, the U.S., New Zealand and Australia.

Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics (cum laude) from St. Lawrence University. He is fluent in Japanese, with a working knowledge of Spanish.

 

Mael Disa-Vingataramin – President

As President and co-founder of CarbonSync, Mael focuses on being the intermediary between business and technology. His unique combination of business and technical skills has led to positions with companies in France, the U.S. and the French Caribbean – where he was born and currently heads CarbonSync’s Caribbean office.

Previously, Mael honed his analytical skills at Innodev, a Paris-based consulting firm specializing in emerging biotechnologies and chemicals. He also served in engineering and business development roles at A2BE Carbon Capture, an algae production technology company in the U.S.

Mael holds a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from ESCOM (Paris), and a second Master’s in Process Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiegne in France. He has applied his expertise to sustainable technology, bio-transformation, clean energy production systems, waste valorization and bio-product formulation.

With his Indian heritage, Caribbean upbringing, European education and foreign work experience, Mael is ideally suited to implement CarbonSync’s international vision. In addition, Mael is fluent in French, English and Creole, with a working knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
